New Thunder player Paul George revealed after he signed for the team that Kevin Durant already told him great things about the club before he move last week.
Kevin Durant told me that I would be blown away by the atmosphere and I am already feeling it. He explained to me that the team will offer me what other teams cannot and that is the fans, facility, chefs, meals and every other little details that are important. He spoke highly of them and stated that it was a top class team all areas.”
Paul George traded in from the Indiana Pacers on the 6th of July and was replaced Victor Oladipo and Sabonis Domantas after he told the team he would like to be treated or would leave for free next season.
George, 27, stated that it was awkward for him to leave The Indiana Pacers.
I had to move – Paul George
“There is never a right way to handle it, He said in his interview with SI. “ I understand why a lot of fans are angry but I need fans to understand that players only have a small window to play and we need to play for the championships. I wanted to win the championship with Indiana and make the city happy but I have to move on now. This team will be special to me and I am sorry I did not stay longer than I should but I was not really sure that we could put together a team that could compete for the championship.”
Kevin Durant won the NBA Championship this year after he left the Thunder last in the off-season to join Golden State.
